The Mai-Wel Group has been providing a diverse range of disability services to residents of the Hunter Valley for almost 60 years. What began as a group of local families coming together to provide education and opportunity to their children has today developed into a thriving business supporting more than 1,500 participants across seven Local Government areas.

We are on the hunt for a dedicated and passionate individual to lead and inspire a team of supported employees in basic cleaning and grounds maintenance tasks across multiple locations. As a key player in our mission, you'll provide vital guidance, support, and mentorship, ensuring our work teams shine both onsite and offsite.

Your Mission:

  • Lead and Inspire: Supervise and mentor a dynamic team of supported employees in cleaning and grounds maintenance.
  • Train and Guide: Provide on-the-job training to ensure top-notch work performance and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Organise and Coordinate: Craft work schedules and assignments that keep our teams running like a well-oiled machine.
  • Communicate and Collaborate: Maintain clear and effective communication with onsite supervisors and management to swiftly address any issues or concerns.
  • Monitor and Improve: Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, provide feedback, and tackle challenges head-on.
  • Ensure Compliance: Uphold company policies, procedures, and standards of conduct with unwavering commitment.
  • Foster Positivity: Cultivate a supportive and encouraging work environment that boosts teamwork, productivity, and professional growth.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Experience: Previous experience in facilities management, cleaning services, or a related field is a plus.

  • Logistics: Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are essential.
