Job Description
About the Role:
We are seeking a passionate Senior Mentor to join our Parent Pathways program, supporting parents with children under six to achieve their education and employment goals while balancing their family responsibilities.
The position will be based across our Singleton and Muswellbrook offices, with travel to other Upper Hunter sites as required.
You will provide personalised, strengths-based support, guide participants through vocational and non-vocational challenges, and foster connections with community services and employers. This is a highly rewarding role where you will make a meaningful difference in people’s lives.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver person-centred, strengths-based mentoring services across multiple sites.
Assist participants to identify and achieve educational and employment goals.
Provide intensive case management for participants facing complex challenges.
Build and maintain relationships with community organisations and local employers.
Promote the Parent Pathways program and encourage voluntary participation.
Maintain accurate participant records and contribute to audits and quality measures.
Desired Skills and Experience
About You:
Diploma qualification in Community Services, Employment Services, or a related field (essential).
Experience delivering high-quality case management services (essential).
Understanding of professional boundaries and strengths-based support models.
Ability to manage a caseload and maintain strong, trusting participant relationships.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other case management systems.
Passion for working with parents and families to support long-term, sustainable outcomes.
Must have a drivers licence and comprehensive car insurance as there will be a lot of driving involved
Desirable:
Lived experience in overcoming disadvantage and navigating service systems.
