Job Description

Are you passionate about making a real difference in people’s lives while building strong community and employer relationships? We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Representative to join our growing team in the Lower Hunter region working in the Newcastle, Port Stephens and surrounding areas.

This role has become available due to an internal promotion, highlighting our strong commitment to career progression and professional development within the organisation.

About the Role

Reporting directly to the Senior Manager – Employment Services, you will play a key role in connecting individuals with meaningful employment opportunities. Working collaboratively with a dedicated and supportive team, you will focus on building employer partnerships and supporting sustainable employment outcomes under the Inclusive Employment Australia (IEA) contract.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with local employers
  • Identify and create employment opportunities for participants
  • Support participants into sustainable, long-term employment
  • Engage in reverse marketing and job carving strategies
  • Collaborate with internal teams to achieve employment outcomes
  • Contribute to a high-performing, values-driven team environment
  • Maintain administrative tasks and sound record keeping

Desired Skills and Experience

About You

  • Experience in business development, sales, or employment services (preferred but not essential)
  • Background in sales, reverse marketing, or job carving highly regarded
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Passion for supporting people into meaningful employment
  • Must have an Australian Drivers licence and comprehensive car insurance - you will receive an annual $8000 car allowance.
